Since the Trump-Vance administration took office this year, Tina has wasted no time in taking action to defend Washington’s core values. She is standing up against illegal deportations, attacks on voting rights, and harmful shifts in education policy. Tina is committed to defending Washingtonians from overreach and preserving the state’s values of inclusion, safety, and equity.

• Spoke out against Trump-era federal funding freezes that threatened health programs and infrastructure in Washington.
• Took action to oppose illegal deportations and protect due process for immigrants.
• Defended voting rights from Republican-led federal legislation seeking to restrict access to the ballot.

Washington’s housing crisis is deepening, and Tina is leading efforts to reverse it. In South King County, lack of affordable housing and stagnant development have caused growing homelessness. That’s why Tina has led efforts to protect homeowners, build affordable housing, and fight predatory real estate practices.

• Passed the Foreclosure Fairness Act to give families legal support and mediation before losing their homes.
• Supported the Housing Trust Fund to build affordable housing across counties.
• Backed the Health Home Program, creating 1,000+ units for homeless families, veterans, and people with disabilities.

As both a lawmaker and former social worker, Tina knows we must face difficult issues like violence, addiction, and mental health head-on to keep our communities safe. She’s not afraid to tackle complex, under-discussed challenges to protect families.
