Orwall Rated Outstanding by Municipal League

Hello friend,

Are you feeling concerned about your finances? I have talked with so many families who are feeling stressed about the increased costs of gas, food, day care, and their property taxes. People with long commutes are looking for jobs closer to home and small business owners are strapped with covering health care for their employees. Clearly people are worried about the economy and what the future will bring.

As a legislator, I will advocate on behalf of families to make sure you feel some relief from these increasing financial burdens. I will work to increase access to affordable heath care that will support families and small business owners. I will work to rein in predatory lending practices that have harmed families in our community. We also need high quality and affordable day care and a strong education system because all of our children need the opportunity to succeed.

We have some challenges but working together–we can make a difference to ensure we have strong, healthy community! I need your help to get elected. Can you provide me with a donation, no matter whether it is $5, $50, or $500? Can you take a yard sign, hold a coffee gathering or walk with me? It would be incredibly helpful if you could send an email to your friends sharing your support for me and asking them to support me too. With your help, I will be your voice next session in Olympia!

Upcoming Campaign Activity:

• Doorbelling and BBQ Event in Normandy Park on Saturday, August 2nd: We will meet at the Des Moines library at 2pm followed by a wonderful BBQ at 4pm. Our BBQ hosts are Larry and Mary Jordan and our special guests will be Representative Dave Upthegrove, Representative Sharon Nelson and (maybe) Councilmember Dow Constantine.
