The Momentum Builds and Events This Saturday

Hello friend,

Thank you so much for your support–we have had an exciting week with more activities for this weekend!

I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our Garden Party such a wonderful event! We had a great turnout, delicious desserts, adorable kids and dogs, and the perfect weather to enjoy the beautiful setting at Helen Kludt’s home (thanks Helen).

A special thank you to our wonderful sponsors!

Dow Constantine, Karen Keiser, Dave Upthegrove, and Shay Schual-Berke ~ who was recognized for her 10 years of outstanding service in Olympia.

Congratulations to Julia Patterson on the healthy arrival of her grandson!

Hats off to our party organizers, Elizabeth Brant and Amanda Nelson, and our outstanding volunteers: Cass Prindle, Heidi Kludt, Florence McMullin, Carol Anne Maiers, Bob Polswarth, Thad Stevens, Stephen Lamphere, Galen Salvage, Pete Peterson, Nicole Kludt, Annie Phillips, Barb Fithian, Bob Tobin, Florence McMullen, Jane Tinker, Jean Matthews, Jo Ann Pearson, Kathy Linnell, Marj Henry, Ted & Mary Ann Schwarz, Paula Joneli, Sylvia Cooper, Winnie Becker, Stu Creighton, Carol Sivertz, and our kid hosts Jenna Shamseldin, Xavier Gardner and Sabrina Atzbach.

Thank you to my friends in the 34th LD (Jackie, Ivan and Bruce) for the great buttons, and WPC for the mini keg!

I am so proud to have received the following new endorsements:

  • NARAL—thank you!

  • American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Washington—thank you!

  • SEIU—thank you!

  • People for Safe and Healthy Communities—thank you!

Campaign Activities:

  • Doorbelling Training on June 28th from 10:00-noon at the Des Moines Library. Stephen Lamphere will be leading this training and it will include tips on how to doorbell and practice exercises. After the training, those who are interested in pairing up to go out doorbelling and give those new skills a test will be able to!
  • Join a Parade!: The Seatac International Festival is also this Saturday, June 28th. We will be meeting at Tyee High School at 9:30 am. The parade route is from Tyee to Angle Lake Park about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. Come join us, get a little exercise, and have a lot of fun!
  • Our adopt a sign campaign continues: We are looking for great homes in Kent, Des Moines, Burien, SeaTac and Normandy Park for these charming signs. We will deliver them to your door and we will gladly come collect them to bring them home post election.

We have made some great gains in donations, but we still have a ways to go! Can you help? www.electtinaorwall.com.

Thanks again for all your support!

Tina
