Sole WEA Endorsement and more!
Hello friend,
I have some exciting news on the campaign front!
New Endorsement:
- I am so proud and excited to have received the sole endorsement from the Washington Education Association (WEA)–the state’s largest teacher and education union! I look forward to working closely with WEA to support our teachers and to help provide resources to our schools so that every child receives a quality education. (full endorsement list is here).
Campaign Activities:
- A special thank you to my hard working volunteers who tore down and built 250 signs last night for the campaign! Thank you so much….Amanda, Aaron, Dan, Galen, Mardi, Brian, Meg, George, Larry, Bob, Paula, and Jackie–you’re the best! All the pictures will be up on the website soon!
PCO Training:
- Doorbelling training and team outreach on Sunday, May 18th from 1:30-3:00pm at the Kent Library, (everyone is welcome). Learn about the do’s and don’t of doorbelling, learn more about Tina and why she is the strongest candidate, and about the Voterfile–including reading list! Please RSVP if you are a PCO and need a copy of your walking list.
Fundraising:
- Thank you so much for all the generous donations! I am pleased to let you know we raised $3,500 this week–thank you! I need to raise this much next week so I need your help! You can donate online if you would like, or through the mail.
One of things I value the most in my life is inclusion–making sure people feel included and their voice is heard. I have been working with my campaign staff on how to capture this mantra. Here are our three attempts to try to capture this theme: Giving voice to people, Giving people a voice, Making sure all voices are heard,…what do you think?
Thanks again for all your support!
Thanks, Tina
